The SCAT Safety Cap VIII, GLS80 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GLS80 thread. 8 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap VIII with GLS80 thread is a supply cap for HPLC solvent supply on wide neck laboratory bottles. With eight capillary connections, it enables the simultaneous routing of multiple solvent lines to the HPLC system – suitable for laboratory setups with high connection requirements. Typical applications are HPLC applications in analytics, chemistry, pharma and research. Within the Safety Cap family, the Cap VIII meets the demand for particularly many simultaneous capillary connections. The GLS80 thread is designed for laboratories that use wide neck laboratory bottles as eluent reservoirs and ensures the fit between cap and bottle. The cap is screwed onto the GLS80 thread of the laboratory bottle. The scope of delivery includes PFA fittings in outer diameters of 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm (eight pieces each, UNF 1/4" 28G) as well as seven PFA blind plugs for unused connections. The integrated ventilation valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; it thereby limits uncontrolled vapour release from the bottle. The replacement indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and supports plannable maintenance intervals. Unused connections are sealed with the supplied PFA blind plugs. The Safety Cap VIII, GLS80 can thus be flexibly adapted to the actual connection requirements.
