Material
Conductive. Chemical-Resistant. Designed for the Highest Safety Requirements.
All SymLine components are made of electrically conductive plastic, can be grounded, and are designed for equipotential bonding in accordance with TRGS 727. This reliably dissipates electrostatic charges and effectively reduces potential ignition sources in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The materials used, PTFE-EL and PE-HD-EL, have a resistance to ground of < 10⁹ Ω in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1 and are suitable for use in Ex Zones 0, 1 and 2. The requirements of the German Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV) as well as the standards EN 1127-1, DIN EN 60079-10-1 and DIN EN 60079-10-2 are met. In addition, the material offers high chemical resistance in accordance with SEFA 3 and SEFA 8.
Lightweight and Corrosion-Resistant
Whether organic solvents, acids, alkalis, or other aggressive media – SymLine enables the safe collection of a wide variety of liquids. Unlike stainless steel, PE-HD-EL is permanently corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for use in demanding laboratory environments.
Another advantage is the low weight of the material. While stainless steel components and containers, particularly when filled, require considerable physical effort to move, SymLine components are significantly easier to handle. This facilitates transport, simplifies workflows, and improves ergonomics in everyday laboratory operations.
