Details

The DURAN laboratory bottle with GLS80 thread and 2000 ml volume is a storage bottle for HPLC eluents, solvents and laboratory chemicals. The GLS80 standard defines a wide neck opening that facilitates filling and withdrawal directly at the laboratory workbench. The article is available in amber glass design. The volume of 2000 ml covers higher solvent requirements and extends refill intervals compared to smaller storage containers. This is relevant for laboratories in analytics, chemistry, pharma and research with regular eluent consumption. The amber glass design is available as a standalone variant alongside clear glass designs in the same GLS80 format; the choice depends on the medium used and the requirements of the respective laboratory process. The bottle is made of DURAN borosilicate glass 3.3 and offers high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance and long service life. The GLS80 thread determines which SCAT Safety Cap can be screwed on; together, bottle and cap form a closed, low-emission supply system. The bottle is supplied with cap and pouring ring, which simplifies handling on first use. Cap and pouring ring support clean handling during filling and decanting. The round design can be placed on standard laboratory work surfaces. The GLS80 thread is the decisive starting point for selecting the appropriate Safety Cap when setting up a low-emission solvent supply system.
