Grounding
Safe Grounding for Reliable Explosion Protection
When collecting flammable liquids, the flow of liquid can generate electrostatic charges. If these charges are not safely dissipated, sparks may occur – increasing the risk of fire or explosion.
SymLine built-in solutions made of electrically conductive plastic are designed to safely dissipate electrostatic charges. In combination with the designated grounding connections, they provide reliable equipotential bonding, significantly reducing the risk of ignition sources and supporting safe laboratory operation.
Developed in Accordance with Applicable Safety Standards
Extensive national and international regulations apply to the assessment and prevention of electrostatic ignition hazards. SymLine takes into account the requirements of TRGS 727 (“Avoidance of Ignition Hazards due to Electrostatic Charges”) as well as the relevant requirements of the ATEX Directives. The electrically conductive plastics used have a specific resistance within the range suitable for explosion protection and can – when properly grounded – be used in appropriate waste disposal systems.
ATEX-Compliant System Solution
SymLine uses high-performance, electrically conductive plastics and provides a safe interface with safety cabinets and other laboratory components. The system has been specifically developed for the safe handling of flammable solvents and supports compliance with the requirements of modern explosion protection concepts.
With SymLine, you get a well-designed complete solution for safe, standards-compliant, and future-proof solvent disposal in the laboratory.
