The SCAT Safety Cap II, GLS80 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GLS80 thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap II with GLS80 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GLS80 wide neck opening. Two capillary connections enable simultaneous routing of eluent and solvent lines directly to the HPLC system. The GLS80 format is matched to common wide-neck bottles used in analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals as storage containers. The Safety Cap II with two capillary connections is suitable for workplaces where two lines must be routed simultaneously from one bottle. Unused connections can be sealed with the supplied PFA blind plug. The integrated ventilation valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow into the bottle; it thereby limits uncontrolled vapour release. The supplied PFA fittings cover three outer diameters – 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm – and enable connection with various capillary diameters. All connections are designed with UNF 1/4" 28G. The Safety Cap II is screwed onto the GLS80 laboratory bottle. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and supports plannable maintenance intervals. The Safety Cap II with GLS80 thread and two capillary connections contributes to reducing exposure and supports low-emission solvent supply in a closed system.
