The SCAT activated carbon exhaust filter L adsorbs solvent vapours and supports a safe, low-emission laboratory environment. The multi-layer filter filling combines specialised activated carbons for solvent vapours as well as acidic and alkaline components. This means that not only typical organic vapours from HPLC waste are adsorbed, but also small acid and alkali fractions from eluents and mobile phases. The high-performance activated carbon with an internal surface area of up to 1500 m²/g and a CTC value of >90 % stands for high adsorption capacity and long service life. With integrated splash guard, change indicator and up to 12 months service life. Replacement pack of 2 pcs.

Details

The SCAT Activated Carbon Exhaust Filter (size L, GL14) is a replacement filter for the waste side of HPLC systems. It screws directly onto the Safety Waste Cap via the GL14 thread and reliably captures escaping solvent vapors before they can reach the laboratory air. Collecting HPLC waste releases toxic vapors, for example from methanol or acetonitrile. The exhaust filter adsorbs these vapors and additionally binds acidic and alkaline components. As a result, the occupational exposure limits under TRGS 900 are kept well below threshold, effectively protecting laboratory staff. An integrated splash guard prevents contact with liquid, while the change indicator signals when the filter is due for replacement. The service life is up to 12 months. At the same time, the filter acts as a pressure-relief valve, ensuring safe pressure equalization on the collection container. With high-grade activated carbon and a well-engineered design, the exhaust filter delivers clean laboratory air, less odour, and greater safety. It is supplied as a convenient replacement pack (pack of 2).
