The SCAT activated carbon exhaust filter M adsorbs solvent vapours and supports a safe, low-emission laboratory environment. The multi-layer filter filling combines specialised activated carbons for solvent vapours as well as acidic and alkaline components. This means that not only typical organic vapours from HPLC waste are adsorbed, but also small acid and alkali fractions from eluents and mobile phases. The high-performance activated carbon with an internal surface area of up to 1500 m²/g and a CTC value of >90 % stands for high adsorption capacity and long service life. With integrated splash guard, replacement label and up to 6 months service life.

The filter is simply screwed onto the GL14 port of the Safety Waste Cap and performs two jobs at once: it reliably binds rising solvent vapors through adsorption while acting as a pressure-relief valve when the container is being filled. As a result, occupational exposure limits under TRGS 900 are safely maintained and indoor air pollution is significantly reduced. A change label clearly indicates when the filter is due for replacement, improving process reliability and simplifying maintenance planning.
