The SCAT Safety Cap II, NS29/32, ground neck bottle is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with NS29/32 thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

Details

The SCAT Safety Cap II for NS29/32 ground-glass bottles is a supply cap for laboratory bottles with NS29/32 standard ground-glass joint. It features two capillary connections for HPLC solvent supply and helps reduce exposure to solvent vapours. This Safety Cap II can be used wherever ground-glass bottles with NS29/32 standard ground-glass joint serve as storage containers for HPLC eluents and solvents – in analytics, in chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories and in research. Two capillary connections are sufficient for most standard setups. Unused connections can be sealed with the supplied PFA blind plug. The cap is screwed onto the ground-glass joint and secured with the enclosed counter nut. The ventilation valve (UNF 1/4" 28G) opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow into the bottle; this limits uncontrolled vapour release. The delivery includes PFA fittings in three outer diameters – 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm – so that common HPLC capillary diameters can be connected directly. The supplied replacement indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. For laboratory environments that use ground-glass bottles with NS29/32 standard ground-glass joint, the Safety Cap II closes off the supply side of a closed HPLC system.
