The SCAT Safety Cap II, GL32 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL32 thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

Details

The Safety Cap II with GL32 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL32 connection. With two capillary connections, it enables the simultaneous routing of two solvent lines directly to the HPLC system. The Cap II is positioned within the Safety Cap family for supply tasks with exactly two line connections. Typical applications are HPLC systems in analytics, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and research, where a laboratory bottle with GL32 thread serves as an eluent reservoir. If only one connection is used, the supplied PFA blind plug securely closes the free connection. The Safety Cap II is screwed onto the laboratory bottle and forms a low-emission supply system for solvent provision with it. All PFA fittings are included in three outer diameters (1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm), so common capillary formats can be connected directly. The installed ventilation valve opens when there is negative pressure in the bottle and allows filtered air to flow in; uncontrolled vapour release is thereby limited. The supplied change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. For GL32 laboratory bottles, the Safety Cap II with its two capillary connections is a clearly dimensioned component in the HPLC supply system.
