The SCAT Safety Cap I, 38-430 for Wheaton is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with 38-430 for Wheaton thread. 1 capillary port enables clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap I with 38-430 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply on Wheaton bottles. With a capillary connection, it leads a solvent line directly to the HPLC system and supports low-emission media supply in analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals. The 38-430 thread is designed for Wheaton bottles and clearly distinguishes this Safety Cap from versions for other bottle systems. Cap type I stands for a capillary connection and is suitable for laboratory systems where a solvent line is led to the HPLC system. Areas of application are analytics, chemistry and pharmaceutical laboratories that use Wheaton bottles in eluent supply. The Safety Cap is screwed onto the 38-430 thread of the Wheaton bottle. The ventilation valve with UNF 1/4" 28G opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in, which limits uncontrolled vapour release. Three PFA fittings with 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm outside diameter are included in the scope of delivery and enable adaptation to different capillary diameters directly at the workplace. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and supports plannable maintenance intervals. The Safety Cap I is thus a practical addition for laboratories that use Wheaton bottles with the 38-430 thread in HPLC solvent supply.
