Details
The SCAT space-saving canister with 5 litres and S50 thread is an HPLC waste container for the collection and disposal of liquid laboratory waste. It is used in HPLC and chemical laboratories where solvent mixtures are generated and collected in an organised manner.
At just 65 mm wide, this space-saving canister is intended for workstations where several disposal systems stand side by side or where floor space is limited. The geometry of 65 × 335 × 335 mm fits into safety cabinets, under-bench cabinets and confined HPLC workstations. The 5-litre volume corresponds to moderate waste volumes.
The S50 thread accepts a matching SCAT Safety Waste Cap, which is screwed on directly. The canister is made of polypropylene; chemical resistance must be verified against the specific waste mixture. Together with an optional activated carbon exhaust filter, a closed system is created that reduces emissions directly at the container and helps decrease exposure in the laboratory.
With the narrow design of the space-saving canister, stability and line routing should be considered once cap, filter and waste lines are fitted. A stable location or a suitable base supports safe operation. This version is not electrostatic conductive.
