The SCAT canister 10 litre with S90 thread is a safe solution for the disposal of liquid laboratory waste in HPLC and chemical laboratories. Made of electrically conductive PE-HD, it provides a robust, chemically resistant design for daily laboratory use. Features such as UN approval, viewing strip for fill level control improve safety and ease of use. The electrically conductive design supports safe grounding when handling flammable liquids in accordance with TRGS 727, section 4.5.5.

Details

The SCAT canister with 10 litres and S90 thread is an HPLC waste container for solvent disposal and the collection of liquid laboratory waste. The S90 thread determines compatibility with the Safety Waste Cap used. The 10-litre volume is suitable for standard laboratories with medium waste volumes. The canister is used in analytical, chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories. The PE-HD material with electrostatic conductive properties supports equipotential bonding when handling flammable liquids; whether this version is required is determined by the hazard assessment. The viewing strip enables level control without opening the container. A compatible Safety Waste Cap is screwed onto the S90 thread. In combination with an exhaust filter, the system helps reduce solvent vapour exposure. The dimensions are 195 × 380 × 195 mm (W × H × D). The UN-Y approval identifies a design-tested dangerous goods packaging; suitability for the specific waste mixture must be agreed with the waste disposal contractor. Canisters are marked with the production date and are generally delivered within six months of this date. This facilitates inventory planning. The S90 thread must be checked for compatibility with existing Safety Waste Caps when setting up the system.
