Details

The SCAT canister with 5 litres and S60/61 thread is a PE-HD waste container for solvent disposal in HPLC and chemical laboratories. The S60/61 thread enables direct combination with a matching Safety Waste Cap. With a capacity of 5 litres, the canister belongs to the compact class for laboratory workstations with limited space. The 5-litre canister is suitable for analytics, chemistry, pharmaceutical and research laboratories where waste is generated regularly and short change intervals are planned. The dimensions of 164 × 235 × 185 mm (W × H × D) allow orderly placement directly at the equipment. If multiple waste streams are collected in parallel, several containers can be used side by side. The S60/61 thread accommodates a SCAT Safety Waste Cap, which is screwed on and together with an optional activated carbon exhaust filter forms a low-emission disposal system. The PE-HD material is suitable for typical HPLC waste mixtures; the chemical resistance to the specific waste mixture must be verified. The canister has a UN-X approval, which describes design-tested dangerous goods packaging. The suitability for the respective waste mixture and the requirements of the waste disposal contractor must be checked separately. When changing, the container is unscrewed and replaced with a new canister with S60/61 thread, without the need to modify the rest of the disposal system.
