Details

The SCAT canister with 5 litres and S55 thread is an HPLC waste container for solvent disposal and the collection of liquid laboratory waste. The S55 thread enables direct connection to matching Safety Waste Caps from the SCAT system. The canister is made from PE-HD and is suitable for typical HPLC waste mixtures from analytical and chemical laboratories. The 5-litre volume positions the canister directly at the workplace. It is suitable for compact HPLC setups with limited space, where shorter replacement intervals are deliberately planned. With dimensions of 182 × 240 × 162 mm (W × H × D), it fits into tight laboratory areas. In combination with a matching Safety Waste Cap and an optional exhaust filter, the canister supports a low-emission laboratory environment and contributes to reducing exposure. The UN-X approval describes a design-tested dangerous goods packaging. Whether the canister is suitable for a specific waste mixture and the requirements of the waste disposal contractor must be checked separately. PE-HD is chemically resistant to typical solvent mixtures; the resistance to the specific waste mixture must be tested. The S55 thread provides a secure connection when screwing on the Safety Waste Cap and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals in everyday laboratory work.
