Made of electrically conductive PE-HD, it provides a robust, chemically resistant design for daily laboratory use. The electrically conductive design supports safe grounding when handling flammable liquids in accordance with TRGS 727, section 4.5.5.

Details

The SCAT canister with 30 litres and S60/61 thread is an HPLC waste container for solvent disposal and collection of liquid laboratory waste. It is made of PE-HD electrostatic conductive and thus supports equipotential bonding when handling flammable liquids. The necessity of conductive material results from the operational hazard assessment. The 30-litre volume is designed for laboratories with higher waste volumes that plan for longer change intervals. Compared to smaller containers, the frequency of changes is significantly reduced; weight, transport distance and handling concept should be considered in advance. Within the SCAT canister family, this volume covers the range of central disposal points and larger HPLC systems. The S60/61 thread enables direct combination with a matching SCAT Safety Waste Cap. Together with an activated carbon exhaust filter, this creates a closed disposal system that reduces emissions directly at the container. The canister is manufactured in electrostatic conductive design and has UN-Y approval; the suitability for the specific waste mixture and the requirements of the waste disposal contractor must be verified. The dimensions of 240 × 364 × 455 mm (W × H × D) allow for planned positioning. Canisters are marked with the production date and are generally delivered within six months of the production date. The electrostatic conductive design is an integral part of this article and not an additional feature.
