Details

The SCAT canister with 30 litres and two openings – S60/61 and GL45 – is an HPLC waste container for solvent disposal and the collection of liquid laboratory waste. The container made of PE-HD is designed for daily use in the HPLC and chemical laboratory. The volume of 30 litres is aimed at laboratory workstations with higher solvent volumes. It extends change intervals compared to smaller containers and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. The transport route and handling of the filled container must be planned in advance when setting up the disposal area. The two openings S60/61 and GL45 enable the connection of a Safety Waste Cap via the S60/61 thread as well as the use of the GL45 opening for further connections in the disposal system. In combination with an activated carbon exhaust filter and matching fittings, a closed system is created that reduces emissions directly at the container and contributes to reducing exposure. PE-HD is the standard material for typical HPLC waste mixtures; chemical resistance to the specific medium must be verified. Canister changes can be flexibly integrated into existing disposal systems with the combination of S60/61 and GL45. The dimensions of 290 × 400 × 380 mm (W × H × D) must be taken into account when planning the storage location. The canister does not have a valid UN-Y approval; transport requirements must be clarified with the waste disposal contractor.
