The SCAT canister 30 litre with S60/61 thread is a safe solution for the disposal of liquid laboratory waste in HPLC and chemical laboratories. Made of PE-HD, it provides a robust, chemically resistant design for daily laboratory use. The electrically conductive design supports safe grounding when handling flammable liquids in accordance with TRGS 727, section 4.5.5.

Details

The SCAT canister with 30 litres and S60/61 thread is an HPLC waste container for the collection and disposal of liquid laboratory waste. It is used in HPLC and chemical laboratories where solvent mixtures are generated and collected in an organised manner. At 30 litres, this canister covers central waste collection without yet falling into the large-container category. It suits laboratories with several HPLC systems where a shared collection container is used. The dimensions are 290 × 400 × 380 mm. The S60/61 thread accepts a matching SCAT Safety Waste Cap, which is screwed on directly. The canister is made of PE-HD; chemical resistance must be verified against the specific waste mixture. Together with an optional activated carbon exhaust filter, a closed system is created that reduces emissions directly at the container and helps decrease exposure in the laboratory. The UN-Y approval identifies the canister as design-tested dangerous goods packaging. It does not mean that any waste mixture may be transported in it – suitability and the requirements of the waste disposal contractor must be verified in advance. With the 30-litre canister, transport route and handling during replacement should be determined in advance. This version is not electrostatic conductive; the need for this is determined by the hazard assessment.
