Details

The SCAT canister with 10 litres and S90 thread is an HPLC waste container for the collection and disposal of liquid laboratory waste. It is suitable for daily use in the HPLC and chemical laboratory, where solvent mixtures are collected and regularly disposed of. The volume of 10 litres positions this canister for the typical waste volume at an HPLC workstation. Compared to 5-litre containers, the replacement interval is noticeably extended, whilst the canister remains easy to handle. It is suitable for laboratories with medium solvent waste volumes, where the container is to remain at the workstation. The S90 thread enables direct combination with a matching SCAT Safety Waste Cap. Together with an optional activated carbon exhaust filter, a closed system is created that reduces emissions directly at the container and helps reduce exposure. The canister is made of PE-HD, the standard material for typical HPLC waste mixtures. Chemical resistance must be checked against the specific waste mixture. The UN-Y approval identifies this canister as design-tested dangerous goods packaging. Whether the specific waste mixture may be transported in this container must be coordinated with the waste disposal contractor and based on the waste properties. The dimensions of 195 × 380 × 195 mm (W × H × D) define the space requirement at the workstation.
