Flat Flange Lids for Glass Reactors
The best Plan for a secure Connection
A flat flange is a special type of flange used to join and seal two pipes or vessels. It consists of a flat ring with holes for attaching screws or bolts. The flat flange is usually placed between the two flanges to be joined and then tightened with the bolts to create a secure connection. The name "flat flange" derives from the flat, planar surface of the ring, as opposed to other types of flanges such as the threaded flange or the weld flange. The flat flange allows the lid to be securely attached to the reactor body and ensures a reliable seal to prevent leakage.
Production according to Standard
Flat flanges are usually manufactured according to international norms and standards such as DIN 12214 ANSI, ASME or API to ensure wide-ranging compatibility and interoperability.

Technical Details
Suitable for glass reactors with a SCHOTT® flat flange. With screw-in threads for connecting transition fittings and a center neck NPT 1/2":
- 1: Centric thread connection (middle / blue)
This threaded connection enables the introduction of a stirrer guide in a centric position. This ensures precise and stable guidance of the stirrer.
- 2: Perpendicular thread connection (perpendicular / purple)
This threaded connection is arranged vertically and runs parallel to the agitator shaft. It enables easy assembly of components that are to be aligned perpendicular to the agitator shaft.
- 3: Angled thread connection (to the middle / green)
This threaded connection is arranged at an angle and runs directly to the agitator shaft. It is suitable for assembling components that require an inclined alignment to the agitator shaft.
- 4: Angled thread connection (past the center / magenta)
This threaded connection is also arranged at an angle, but with an alignment past the agitator shaft. It allows components to be mounted that require specific lateral orientation or placement along the agitator shaft.
These various threaded connections provide flexibility and versatility in mounting components in your application. Depending on your needs and desired orientation, you can select the appropriate threaded connection to ensure precise and reliable installation.
